Lisa Anderson, Production Coordinator
Lisa wears many hats in her daily work at DAM, and is an integral part of numerous facets of every project. On any given day you may catch Lisa discussing potential work with clients, estimating costs and materials and bidding jobs, ordering and fulfilling materials or machinery, scheduling assets, or working directly with Dale, Paul, masons and staff to help execute work that’s underway.
Growing up on a family farm near West Bend, WI, Lisa loved her life in the country, alongside her two sisters and brother. She enjoyed helping her dad with chores, learning to drive tractor at age 5, helping with field work, and tending to the family’s 31 milk cows. If that wasn’t enough, Lisa additionally worked on a neighbor’s farm! As a student at Slinger High School, Lisa began working in reception, data entry, and finally service for Kasten Mfg. It was shortly after this stint that she was hired by Dave Loomans, who was planning to build a huge multi-unit complex, and would turn out to be a real mentor to her in the construction industry. While working as Secretary, Lisa learned every aspect of construction from the ground up. Nearing the end of this project, she would be called upon to run the project for several months. This experience proved to be one of her most rewarding, instilling confidence in her ability to ‘handle it’. It was during this project that Lisa met her now husband and business partner Dale Anderson. As she puts it, “He was the mason contractor on the job, and I was his boss. Still am!” Around that time Dale approached her to take over bookkeeping for his company. They ultimately started dating, and were married in 1991, with Lisa then working full time for Dale Anderson Masonry, Inc. Lisa and Dale have two wonderful and (gulp!) nearly grown up children, Jakob and Anita, born in 1994 and 1996. Lisa continues to work hard and still enjoys working with Dale every day; they will have been married 20 years this year. She likes to keep herself busy with several clubs, including her work as Secretary for the Restored Antique Tractor Club (RAT Club), and as Event Coordinator for an annual Memorial Go-Kart event in September.
