"I like making things better." Karl Zarling is a fixer. As a small town kid in nearby Kewaskum, WI, he took everything in the house apart (sorry Dad). For 25+ years he's analyzed systems and teams, holding up the pieces and making them better.

Zarling originally set out for Milwaukee, Wisconsin, managing retail, and doing freelance photography and design. Karl then put life on hold to enjoy a run as a working singer/songwriter with none other than Paul Anderson. Years later in Nashville, Tennessee, Zarling acted as GM, PM, AE, producer, and creative lead for several firms, and owner of both Elephant Ear and LockDog (software). He remains a stickler for process, usability, user experience and systems.

Family brought Karl back to Wisconsin, where he remains a longtime, top-producing licensed REALTOR®, now with Shorewest Realtors - Lake Country. Zarling is also a Jefferson County Supervisor for Watertown's District 4, his current home.

With Dale Anderson Masonry transitioning to high end, complex projects, it was a good fit to engage Zarling more meaningfully. "I've known and respected the Andersons and their work since I was a kid," Zarling recalls. "Super easy group to go to bat for."
